Why DEBO Exists

One of the biggest challenges currently facing Ethiopia is the ever-increasing number of orphaned and vulnerable children. In spite of the efforts of many community-based, local and international organizations, the challenge still remains great.

A single organization on its own cannot provide all the support to millions of children in need through limited service lines.  However, an alliance/collaboration among child welfare organizations can help achieve shared goals and vision, which may not otherwise be achievable by an individual organization.

Therefore, Instead of working in isolation or competion with one another, organizations need to collaborate to bring about a significant difference.
